Interesting species that are known to occur in Whiteman Park are the Painted Button-quail, Elegant Parrot, Red-capped Parrot, robin, woodswallow and cuckoo species. Wedge-tailed Eagles have also been recorded. There are few places within Perth's metropolitan area that offer such diversity of native plants - with nearly half of the Park's 4300 hectares (10,000 acres) designated as conservation areas it's easy to see why.

Whiteman Park also has a diverse number of other attractions.
