Geraldton - City of History, Sun, Sand and Sea!

Geraldton is located on the Batavia Coast, 424km north of Perth. A leisurely five hour drive, passing through varied and interesting landscapes and scenery. With it's Mediterranean climate, city atmosphere and sea side location, Geralton is a place to relax and visit before continuing you travel to Kalbarri, Monkey Mia, Carnarvon or further north.

Geraldton offers all of the cultural, entertainment and shopping facilities of a major regional city.

A port city, Geraldton is the administrative centre of the mid west’s diverse industry base from a world leading rock fishery to agriculture and gold production. Other industries include mining, fishing, manufacturing, construction, and tourism. Geraldton is the business hub of the mid west region.

Over three million tonnes of grain and minerals are shipped from the port each year. From the city foreshore and car parks, huge ships can be seen entering the port from the open sea.

Pristine beaches are a favourite for aquatic activities and is a favoured location for windsurfers and snorkelling. Set between the Indian Ocean, the Moresby ranges to the east and the Chapman Valley to the north, Geraldton is an ideally sitauted.

Locally caught lobster, prime beef and a variety of ocean fish combined with locally
procuded wines from nearby wineries, gives a unique dining experience in Geraldton.

WIldflowers, the history of Geraldton and nearby Houtman Abrolhos Islands, first class accommodation and dining, aqautic playground and Mediterranean climate all mixed with the activity of a city, makes Geraldton a place worth visiting. Sunsets along the Coral Coast at times are quite spectacular.
